Dear students, residents, fellows, and future leaders,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to our rheumatology fellowship training program at ChristianaCare. We are rooted in our core values of education, empathy, and service to serve our learners and communities with a high bar for excellence. We realize the critical need for rheumatology training in graduate medical education, as well as a growing demand for rheumatology care nationally. We hope to address this need through the fellowship in several ways including:
- Fostering a strong learning culture and mindset
- Fostering continuous feedback driven self-improvement
- Cultivating strong fellow mentorship and support
- Fostering strong collaborative networks and multi-disciplinary teamwork across the institution
- Fostering strong leadership and communication skills to manage patients across institutions
- Fully supporting our fellows to become and do the best in any field they choose
We are privileged to design the program with love and excellence at its core. We leverage our strong access to a vast diversity of patients and pathologies across 1400 beds and two robust clinical sites. Our fellows will learn to diagnose and treat incredibly complex cases working alongside various primary and specialty teams. We aim to prepare our fellows with foundations in all aspects of their future careers, including academics, private practice, education, and research. Above all, we aim to be better every day and treat everyone with respect and compassion at every opportunity.
Please feel free to reach out to rheumatologyfellowship@christianacare.org for questions at any time.
Sincerely,
Devanshu Verma, MD, MBA, RhMSUS
