ChristianaCare ranks in the top 30 in the country for admissions, emergency visits, surgeries and births and is Delaware's only Level I trauma center that treats adults and children – the only center of its kind between Philadelphia and Baltimore. The large number of surgeries and the extensive and varied volume of cases assure residents exposure to the entire spectrum of surgical practice.
