Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery

The Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery fellowship program at ChristianaCare will provide trainees with a broad and deep surgical and clinical experience. This two-year program in advanced minimally invasive surgery has been approved by the Board of fellowship in Gynecologic Endoscopy and sponsored by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL). The program is designed to focus on expanding on basic knowledge of anatomy, surgical instrumentation, gynecologic problems with surgical remedy, surgical indications, surgical procedures, and clinical outcomes. In the first year fellows will rotate broadly with clinical faculty amongst multiple subspecialists to gain experience in laparoscopy, robotic surgery, hysteroscopy and vaginal surgery. In the second year fellows may have opportunity to do subspecialty rotations such as urogynecology, GYN-oncology, pediatric & adolescent gynecology, and colorectal surgery.
