Conferences And Teaching

Psychiatry Residency Program

As part of our commitment to high-quality education and professional development, our residency program includes a dedicated half-day academic session each week, during which residents can fully engage in structured learning without competing with service demands. Academic half-days feature a range of interactive educational activities, including case conferences and journal clubs, which are moderated by faculty to foster rigorous discussion and critical thinking. These sessions provide residents with opportunities to deepen their clinical reasoning, appraise the latest research, and integrate evidence-based practices into patient care. In addition, senior residents take on leadership roles by delivering presentations as part of their development into junior attending physicians. This not only reinforces their knowledge but also strengthens teaching and communication skills essential for future practice. Through this well-rounded academic curriculum, we aim to cultivate lifelong learners and thoughtful clinicians prepared to lead in diverse medical environments.
