ChristianaCare is an amazing environment for training. We are an 1100 bed hospital system and the largest private employer in Delaware. We are an active training facility with more than 250 medical and dental residents and fellows. We are the only level 1 trauma center in Delaware. with an extremely busy clinical patient exposure. We have more than 52,000 admissions annually and see over 200,000 people in our emergency departments.
In accordance with the overall mission of Christiana Care, our program seeks to serve our neighbors as respectful, expert, caring partners in their health. We do this by creating innovative, effective, affordable systems of care that our neighbors value. More specifically, we look to train individuals with expertise in diagnostic and vascular interventional radiology and prepare them for independent practice. We also seek to foster an environment of scholarly activity to generate clinical research that will contribute to the advancement of the field of diagnostic and vascular interventional radiology and medicine as a whole.
