The Interventional Radiology Residency program offers 1 Integrated Pathway and 1 Independent Pathway appointment each year. ESIR is also available through the Diagnostic Radiology Residency program.
Some highlights of the program:
- Excellent faculty-to-resident ratio in a program that includes 9 full-time body IR physicians as well as 4 full-time neuro IR physicians.
- Superior mid-level support with 5 ½ physician extenders minimizing the burden of ‘scut’ work on trainees.
- Busy ICAVL accredited vascular lab resulting in a large volume of arterial and venous studies performed yearly.
- Clinically based practice with a fully-staffed VIR office seeing and working up patients daily.
- Level 1 trauma center.
- Direct involvement of VIR within multidisciplinary clinics as well as numerous tumor boards at the Helen Graham Cancer Center.
- Integrated surgical clinical year including vascular surgery rotations.
- Interventional pediatric radiology experience at the nationally ranked #1 children’s hospital in the nation ‘The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’.
- Faculty that is highly active in clinical research producing numerous peer reviewed publications annually.
