Each fellow will be required to design and execute a research or scholarly project. During his or her first fellowship year, each Clinical Informatics fellow will select an outcomes-based project that will address an interesting aspect of clinical information technology. The fellow will identify, evaluate, and implement systems-based technology components and will measure the impact of this initiative.
Clinical Informatics fellows are encouraged to attend regional and national conferences and to present the scholarly research activities at these meetings.
