12-month program for Adult-Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (AGACNP) and certified Physician Assistants who are new to practice or have less than 2 years of ICU specific experience.
This program includes rotations in each of the 4 intensive care units in the hospital to provide a well-rounded educational experience and exposure to a wide variety of patients experiencing acute conditions.
Didactic lectures are provided by clinical experts from a variety of specialties. The program also includes VEST center experience for procedures and many observational experiences for procedures and specialized care.
Throughout the program, the fellow will progress to independent management of patients and increase their proficiency and knowledge of patients requiring highly specified intensive care.
