Internship Program Admissions

program’s policies on intern selection and practicum and academic preparation requirements:
We encourage applications from applicants in APA-accredited doctoral graduate programs in clinical, health or counseling psychology. In our selection of interns, we look for applicants with strong clinical skills, training in evidence-based practice, interest in serving diverse populations and experience providing services within a medical or other multidisciplinary setting.

Applicants should have total of 475 practicum hours of direct contact in intervention and assessment combined. Minimum of three years of training in Ph.D. or Psy.D. program required. Comprehensive exams must be passed, and dissertation proposal approved by the start of internship.

Interns are eligible for prescription coverage, vision, dental, short-term disability, and life insurance. They are also eligible to participate in flexible spending accounts for medical and dependent care. Interns gain full access to our extensive medical library, on-site gym, EAP and Provider Wellness programs. Interns also have access to offices, internet, laptops, and phones. Parking is free and a shuttle between Wilmington and Christiana Campuses is provided.
