Why I chose Christiana Care and Delaware: I have always wanted to return to Delaware to practice dentistry, in order to be close to my family and friends. While away at dental school in Philadelphia, I missed the close knit feeling of a small state and a small town. Everyone is so friendly here. I also love spending time at the beach in the summer, but appreciate the quietness of the off season in lower Delaware. Sussex County is considered a healthcare shortage area, and I would ultimately like to practice in that area. ChristianaCare encapsulates the values that I feel are important in healthcare, which are a willingness to learn and advance, and a love and respect for patients and employees. I am also really enjoying my time in Wilmington, which is a very walkable city with lots to offer in terms of outdoors activities.
