Why I chose Christiana Care and Delaware: I wanted a hospital and residency program with both high surgical and OB volumes and one that prepares its residents for general practice or to enter fellowship. CCHS is nationally recognized for OB-GYN and has an excellent reputation for training physicians in an environment that fosters collaboration, patient safety, and supports its residents. There are plenty of research opportunities and faculty are excited to teach and mentor residents. It was evident on interview day that everyone here was happy and it felt like a family!
