I’m originally from South Florida, and lived there while I pursued both my undergraduate degree at the University of Florida (Go Gators) and my Master’s degree at Barry University’s PA Program in Miami. I practiced for a few years as a PA before deciding to pursue medical school, which is when I moved to the Northeast. I was lucky enough to match at my #1 choice for Emergency Medicine residency, ChristianaCare. I decided to stay on at Christiana to pursue an EMS fellowship after gradation because I loved the people I worked with in the ED, and I realized early on into residency how much I enjoyed the field of EMS. Our EMS faculty are all amazing, and we get the unique opportunity of working with both an academic institution and a state-wide EMS agency. We get to see firsthand how even small changes on the prehospital side can make a big impact on our communities, both locally and in the state of Delaware.
I grew up in Frederick, Maryland, and attended the University of Delaware for undergrad (Go Hens!). After graduating from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, I went on to serve five years in the U.S. Navy. I completed an intern year at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, and then served as an active duty medical officer, mainly focusing on shipboard medicine and medicine at sea.
After my military service, I returned to Delaware and completed residency in emergency medicine at ChristianaCare in 2025. I am thrilled to be staying here for EMS Fellowship! Delaware is a small state with wonderful people, and I hope to be here for the rest of my career.
My wife (a pediatric hospitalist) and I live nearby with our daughter and cat. We love cycling and getting ice cream whenever we can.
