Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Fellowship

ChristianaCare offers two appointments each year to the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship. James T. Hopkins, M.D. is the program director. Qualified applicants will have successfully completed three years of postgraduate training in an accredited internal medicine residency program and three years in an accredited cardiovascular disease fellowship in the United States or Canada prior to starting fellowship. Graduates from medical schools outside the United States and Canada must be certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates to qualify for admission. The ChristianaCare Interventional Cardiology Fellowship program selects eligible applicants on the basis of their preparedness, ability, aptitude, academic credentials, previous experience, communication skills, and personal qualities such as motivation and integrity. The program does not discriminate with regard to sex, race, age, religion, color, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status.

Applications

Applications for the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship should be submitted through ERAS.
Documentation to be submitted:

  • ERAS Application.
  • Small photo.
  • Curriculum vitae.
  • Personal statement.
  • ECGMG Certificate (if applicable.)
  • Official medical school transcripts.
  • USMLE Transcript.
  • Three LORs (one from the current program director.)
