Why I chose Christiana Care and Delaware: I wanted to choose a program where I could hone my leadership skills, foster meaningful relationships with my colleagues, and continue to serve underserved communities throughout my career. Christiana fit all of this and so much more. From the emphasis on diversity and cultural competence in medicine, to the profound camaraderie among residents, faculty, and staff, I knew Christiana would feel like home after interviewing with them. I loved how much they prioritize resident wellness, how happy all the residents genuinely seem, and how supportive they are of residents becoming the best physicians they can be to serve their community and really make an impact in medicine. The program is also close to family so this only made this decision even easier and I am so happy to be here.
