Why I chose Christiana Care and Delaware: ChristianaCare is a hospital system known for its excellence in training and high volumes, especially in the ED. Its location in Delaware means that it sees a lot of the diverse pathologies that make for a great training environment, and that clinical variety is supplemented by faculty and staff that have a vision for success of both the program and the trainees within it. I felt that Christiana would be the best place I could go to become competent in all the roles an emergency physician may be expected to play in the hospital as well as develop a solid understanding of both the gestalt and details of medical practice.
