With state-of-the-art imaging facilities the Diagnostic Radiology Residency offers bountiful opportunities for residents to build extensive technical and diagnostic skills. The Diagnostic Radiology Residency has earned full, unconditional accreditation by the ACGME for five years, the maximum possible time period.
ChristianaCare’s Department of Radiology is fully filmless and paperless, with integrated Philips Stentor iSite PACS and PowerScribe 360 speech recognition systems.
We currently operate 16 high-resolution, multislice CT scanners, including 10 64-slice scanners and a dual-source dedicated cardiovascular CT scanner.
A combined PET/CT scanner is available at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center and a dedicated PET scanner is in use at Christiana Hospital.
Magnetic resonance imaging capabilities include 1.5 Tesla Philips and Siemens scanners and a newly installed 3 Tesla MRI unit.
ChristianaCare’s Breast Center provides mammography services, accredited by the ACR and FDA.

Our ultrasound section has been awarded full ICAVL accreditation for vascular studies.
