The Podiatric Medicine & Surgery residency is fully accredited by the CPME. ChristianaCare participates in the Central Application Service for Podiatric Residencies (CASPR) and abides by its rules and regulations. Additional information about CASPR and applying to the residency at ChristianaCare is available at the American Association of Colleges of Podiatric Medicine Web site at www.aacpm.org.
Interviews are held at the Eastern CRIP in January. In considering applicants, we review academic records, letters of recommendation, national board scores, publications, honors, extracurricular activities, and the applicant’s stated interests and plans. We consider students from all colleges of podiatric medicine and are not limited to accepting only those students who have participated in the ChristianaCare externship. Interested students are encouraged to visit ChristianaCare, however that is not a mandatory requirement for selection.
