Learning and Teaching Opportunities
The OMS Residency Program combines extensive clinical experience with lectures, seminars and conferences in an array of related specialties.
Residents also attend in-house seminars, a journal club and other educational experiences, including weekly conferences and CPCs. Residents also present at department meetings.
Residents receive grants for outside conventions or conferences. Every year, each oral and maxillofacial resident publishes a professional research paper or clinical case report in a peer-reviewed medical or dental journal and to participate in the education of rotating students and residents.
The program also incorporates a comprehensive simulation curriculum that utilizes the state-of-the-art Virtual Education and Simulation Training Center.
