Why I chose Christiana Care and Delaware:
I chose the EM/IM program at Christiana because of the people and the robust clinical training in both departments. When rotating here as a medical student, I was astounded by the friendliness of residents, faculty, and staff as well as their commitment to education across both departments. I also have confidence that the institution and program emphasizes guided advancement of resident autonomy and feel that the combination of high acuity, high volume, and frequent exposure to procedures will forge competence for whatever I decide to pursue as a career moving forward.
