Why I chose Christiana Care and Delaware: I chose to come to CCHS for many reasons that include a large level 1 trauma center, a diverse patient population, a strong antimicrobial stewardship and infectious diseases team, the opportunity to learn how to medically manage patients receiving kidney transplantation, the ability for pharmacists to convert IV to PO, and the opportunity to get involved with the HIV ambulatory care clinic. However, the most influential reason for me choosing CCHS were the interactions I had during my interview with team leaders, preceptors, and pharmacy residents. Their welcoming and engaging personalities allowed me to see that CCHS would be a great fit for me.
