Why I chose Christiana Care and Delaware: I chose Christiana while completing my Sub-I. Throughout the month I rotated here, I not only witnessed first hand the surgical expertise from each attending I worked with but most importantly their ability to communicate, teach, and pass on their trade to the residents. To me, having attendings who want to teach and mentor, and who want you to be able to develop your skills and full potential is the indicator that there is a vested interest in your learning and growth...and a place where I want to be the student. Beyond the training, I felt that CCHS and Delaware was a place that I genuinely would fit into and enjoy my time working at over the next four years.
