Why I chose Christiana Care and Delaware: I chose Christiana Care because I simply wanted to enter a training program that I felt would provide me with the best opportunity to become an the most well-trained OB/Gyn physician that I can be. For me that meant being challenged academically, clinically, and personally all while in a supportive environment. Within just a half-day interview, I was impressed with the organization and their dedication to resident education, the volume of high acuity of cases at Christiana Hospital, and the faculty support of individual resident achievements and in scholarly work. In the end, it was the strong sense of community, passion, kindness, and support I felt between faculty, residents, and staff at Christiana that made it clear I wanted to take on challenges of training with these individuals and care for patients in this atmosphere.
