ChristianaCare’s General Surgery residents gain experience in intensive-care management in the 22-bed surgical Critical Care Complex, a combined shock trauma ICU staffed by full-time surgical intensivists. Working in the only Level I Trauma Center between Baltimore and Philadelphia, residents confidently learn to diagnose and treat patients with severe injuries and critical illnesses.
