Learning and Teaching Opportunities
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology offers a core lecture series for residents each morning following the daily morning report. Weekly medical grand rounds feature a staff of nationally known professors or visiting professors from prestigious institutions throughout the country, as well as a Morbidity and Mortality rounds, or an Evidence-Based Medicine lecture, which is done by the residents.
Residents receive funds from Academic Affairs for travel to educational conferences and for basic textbooks. The department provides some additional funding for these educational pursuits.
